My boyfriend and I along with my 6 month old daughter(2 1/2 month at that time) moved in to a condo in oakridge village
in North Andover on July 31, 2016. Beginning the first week in September we have had non stop issues, some minor
others major. It would be best for me to talk to someone, a lot has gone on over the past 3 months.At this time we are
living in an apartment that had and possibly still has mold, exposed wiring on the hallway ceiling where we assume was a
detector, no washing machine because the mold came from the water leaking, but could be something else-we have no
way to tell. I had to send a certified letter to the landlord telling him we are withholding rent until the issues are taken care
of. We paid first month, last month and a security deposit the day we moved in ($5,550 in total)and continued to pay
$1850 each month. We spoke to them a few times informing them of the issues and the last time we were waiting for a
call back from the other landlord(Scott and St
eve are their names)The reason I sent the letter is because we did not hear back and we had mold. Steve called us the
day he received it and said he would be over.The following weekend Scott came by and when he saw he carpet he told
us there was not mold until I showed him the towel covered in mold that I put under the washing machine because of the
water leaking. When he saw that he agreed it was mold. I asked him about the wiring on the celing and he informed us
there was a detector there, "he has a bunch in his garage, it's easy for him to put it up." It wasn't a pleasant meeting, he
was extremely annoyed. I showed him our other concerns,.he didn't seem to care because"we should have told him
sooner if we were not happy."We had told them of the issues but we did not know about everything until we started to
settle in and look around, it was one thing after another.A week after him coming to see the condo his insurance
company, a remediation company and Servpro came and ripped
up the rug, where the mold was visible, leaving us with a concrete hallway.We are still not able to use the washing
machine, we are going on 3 months of having to do frequent trips to the laundry mat. It has cost us a fortune. The heat
does not function effeciently, it has to be up to 75 for my daughter to sleep in her room, otherwise her hands and face are
freezing when we check on her.Then the next day it is so hot we have to turn the heat off,we are adjusting it every few
hours which of course is costing us more than it should. My daughter sleeps with me and my boyfriend on the couch
because she was waking up cold then hot every night, not getting sleep and it is dangerous to have the 3 of us in bed
being she is an infant.We paid a lot of$ upfront and continued to do so even though we had so many concerns. We were
told a floor was being put down, a new washing machine was on order, a mold test was being done, an air quality test
was being done...we have yet to see any of th
is and they are now telling us until we pay rent they are not putting a floor down, replacing the washing machine, putting
up a new detector or covering the wires(we asked if they could st least do that), until we pay them. They told us last week
they would let us out of the lease with no problems but we had to be out within 5 days. If we are not they will have a
sheriff come and remove us and our belongings and they will report us to the credit bureau, a tenant/landlord site so we
will never be able to was was did not get back to rent again. Since then, last week Steve has called every day telling us
to dis regard the notice he taped to our door, he had to do it but he wants us to stay so pay him and disregard it and when
that happens we will get a floor and a washing machine"within a couple of weeks."The condo was filthy, I have been
cleaning since we moved in and it's still not clean. My daughter is going to be crawling soon, I refuse to let her when the
carpet in the enti
re house has black stains everywhere and they do not know what it is. I was cleaning the freezer last week and a dirty
qtip came out from the rubber part of the door. Those are just a few issues. We need to find a safe place for my daughter
to live in and we can not do so when we are paying our extra money due to issues in the condo. I need to know the
results of the mold test, I can not have a concrete floor, among everything else going on. My daughter was in the NiCU
due to underdeveloped lungs so it is unsettling to know we had/have mold and who knows what else is going on. Her
pedetrician said it does not sound like it's a safe place for her to be seeing as we know there are issues but do not know
any results. After moving in here she is continuously congested, sneezing, coughing. We are praying it's not due to our

living conditions. This has caused a number of problems in our lives. I hope to hear from someone soon regarding this.
