The Board of Appeals held a public hearing on Monday evening,
March 14, 1983 upon the application of Eleanor D. Grandmaison.
The hearing was advertised in the North Andover Citizen on Feb-
ruary 24 and March 3, 1983 and all abutters were notified by
regular mail. The following.members were present and voting:
Alfred E. Frizelle, Esq., Vice Chairman, Richard J. Trepanier,
Esq., Clerk; William J. Sullivan; Walter F. Soule; and Maurice
Foulds .
The petitioner seeks a Special Permit under Section 4.121, Para-
graph 16 of the Zoning By.Law to permit the construction of a new
dwelling with an.attached family.suite on premises located on the
South side of. Easy Street and known as Lot 3, Easy Street, owned
by S..B. Homes.
The petitioner testified through her son, Peter Grandmaison, that
the family suite will be a 24' by 30' addition to the basic dwelling,
consisting of a bedroom, kitchen, living room, and bathroom. The
lot is under option agreement by Mr. Grandmaison.
Upon a motion made by Mr. Trepanier and seconded by Mr. Sullivan,
the Board voted four to one, with Member Foulds in opposition, to
grant the Special Permit subject to the following conditions:
1. That title to the propertybe in Peter or Eleanor Grandmaison's
name.
2. The family suite is solely for occupancy by Eleanor D. Grand-
maison, mother of Peter Grandmaison.
