Apparently sewerage had backed up into the cellar during, the rain storm and Mrs. Jacques had been moved out of the house into a motel. The Fire Department wanted to know if it was all right to let Mrs. Jacques and her son Joey move back into the house. I inspected the cellar and there was only about one half inch of water in part of the cellar. The fire Department had started the ftimace and hot water heater and the electricity was on. The Fire department said that they would return tomorrow (Wednesday) to remove the last traces of water from the cellar and a neighbor (a former selectman) is going to clean the cellar with bleach. I explained to them how to inix the bleach and clean the cellar. We had a lot experience with this process in a previous flood and it works quite well. I allowed Mrs. Jacques and her son to return to the house. There will be no need for further Board of Health involvement unless the Fire Department has problems Avith the final clean up.
