Lanigan 29 Granville Lane Petition No. 17 - 183 The Board of Appeals.held a public hearing on Monday evening, April 11, 1983 upon the application of Robert J. Lanigan. The hearing was advertised in the North -Andover Citizen on March 24 and 31, 1983 and all abutters were notified by regular mail.. The following members were present anel voting: Frank Serio, Jr., Chairman; Alfred E. Frizelle, Esq., Vice Chairmant William J. Sullivan; Augustine W. Nickerson; and Walter F. Soule. The petitioner seeks - a variance from the provisions of Section 7, Paragraph 7. 3 and Table 2 of the Zoning By Law in order to construct an addition to an existing single family dwelling which will not meet the . side ' setback requirements on the premises located at 29 Granville Lane. The petitioner testified that the proposed addition is necessary to accomodate his family and that the size and shape of the lot prevents him from conforming with present zoning and requires a variance. Upon a motion made by Mr. Soule and seconded by Mr. Nickerson, the Board voted unanimously to grant the variance as requested. The Board finds that the size and shape of the dwelling and the lot creates a hardship and that the relief requested will not derogate from the intent and purpose of the Zoning By Law. A hardship exists due to the shape of the lot and to the location of the residence o.n that lot. Therefore, a variance from the thirty foot requirement is requested.
