Soucy, 6 Greenhill Ave., North Andover, MA requesting a variance from the requirements of Section 7, paragraph 7.3
for relief of a side & rear setback in order to construct a shed, ana for a rear setback in order to construct a proposed
addition of a dining room and family room to the main house, said property is within the R-4 Zoning District.
The following members were present: William J. Sullivan, Walter F. Soule, George Earley, Ellen McIntyre.

The hearing was advertised in the Lawrence Tribune on 4/27/99 & 514/99 and all abutters were notified by regular
mail. No persons appeared in opposition to the petition.
Upon a motion made by Ellen McIntyre and 2r" by George Earley, the Board voted to GRANT a Variance
(dimensional relief) from the requirements of Section 7, Paragraph 7.3 to allow relief of right side setback of 10' for
said shed, and relief of rear setback of 25' for said shed, and for relief of rear setback for proposed addition of 4 feet.
The granting of this variance is in accordance with the Plan of Land by Scoq L. Giles #13972, Registered Land
Surveyor, dated 15/131/99. Voting in favor: William J. Sullivan, Walter F. Soule, George Earley, Elen McIntyre.
The Board finds that the petitioner has satisfied the provisions 6f Section 10, paragraph 10.4 of the Zoning Bylaw and
that the granting of these variances will not adversely affect the neighborhood or derogate from the intent and
purpose of the Zoning Waw.
Note: The grantng of the Variance andtor Special Permit as requested by the applicant does not necessarily ensure
the granting of a building permit as the applicant must abide by all applicable local, state and federal and building

Dear Neighbors,
Allison and I plan to request a variance from the Zoming Board of Appeals to
construct an addition to the rear of our home at 6 Greenhill Av. The variance
is needed because of the setback requirement of 30 feet for the R-4 zoming
district our homes are zoned . The variance requested is for a rear setback of
4 feet for the 14 foot by 26 foot addition and a 12 foot side setback for a shed
and 27 foot rear setback for the shed. The shed will be 8xI 0 feet.
I have been able to speak to many of you regarding the addition and the
variance needed to construct the addition. Allison and I hope you will support
our request. We would like to ask you to sign this letter if you have no
objections to our request for a variance for the addition and shed.
The Zoning Board of Appeals will be having a public hearing on the request
on May 11, 1999 at 7:30 PM at the North Andover Senior Center.
