I am not exactly sure where the big rock is,it could either be on Ralph Joyce's properties or on Peachtree. I will copy an 11 X17 for you and send it over. I drove by yesterday and was in horror. I have been watching this nightmare for over a year and I could not believe how badly the slope eroded this time around. There has always been.a severe water problem, but 1 have never seen the severe erosion up until this point.ConCom and has been trying to deal with Ralph Joyce for over one year,it has been very difficult. He supposedly is putting in a drainage pond to hold some of the water that pours onto Chestnut Street and eventually down into the Woodlea Subdivision (these people have been super angry for the last year). Con Com is the only one who has a little jurisdiction over the problems on this lot, however the back slopes are not in their jurisdiction. It has been difficult for all of us to address the severe problems behind these houses. Email or call if you have any questions. Thanks.. Emergency Management came by last week to discuss damage from the heavy rains. Jeff Coco met with the MEMA representative Mike Murphy. They would like the"town engineer"to look at the status of the rock on top of the hill behind 440 Chestnut St.for stability. Jeff explained that this was private property and should be addressed by the owner of the property but they still wanted the Town to look at it in case the rock were to be unstable and slide down during another event. I agree with Jeff that this is not our responsibility but the owner or perhaps developer out there. Could you look at it to determine if it is part of the owners on Chestnut St.,the Rea's or part of Peachtree Development? We could then recommend the appropriate responsible party to address the situation. I would meet with anyone out there if they want to schedule a time. We don't think it our responsibility but we do not want to ignore this request by MEMA should something happen in the future and the Town took no action on their recommendation. 4116104
