Description
Complaint: Received a call from Diane Blanchett of 47-49 Riverview Street. John Cyr from DPW referred her to the Health Department.
For several years,Ms.Blanchett has complained about a manhole at the end of Riverview Street near the pumping station(fenced area)that has been leaking. It
produces a steady flow of water that freezes up in the winter,and now,the last several weeks has created a stream that has soaked the field at the end of the street and
with the warmer weather is creating a bad odor.
At one point,the fire hydrants and piping were moved and she thinks that may have what precipitated the leak. Ms.Blanchett has contacted the Water Dept..DPW
(Mr.Humurciak and Mr.Cyr)and GLSD in the past,but no one has remedied the situation. The problem area falls on the GLSD property,so she would like to know
a contact person's name there with whom she can follow-up further.
