For many weeks,Mrs.DiPietro has been contacting Royal Crest Property Mgmt.office about a leak coming from the 3rd floor bathroom above her hallway bathroom. The leak is coming through the ceiling into her bathtub. She is getting no response and has spoken to a number of people in the office. She feels that this is unsafe,as the water could be going through electrical components,and she is afraid of a fire. She has not used this bathroom since the problem began and has been showering 3 days a week at her daughters house. Mr.DiPietro is a recovering cancer survivor and his condition requires that he use a sterile bathroom(the one off their bedroom,so Mrs.DiPietro will not use that bathroom out of concern for her husband. Mrs.DiPietro would like to ask that Ms.Grant contact Royal Crest directly on their behalf to attempt to get this issue fixed. Mrs.DiPietro has talked to Ms.Grant before and thinks that she could help. However,I searched for a past complaint in the database for this building/unit number,and was unable to find one. In addition,Mrs.DiPietro is finding a blackish dust on her sofa pillows and other furniture,and fears that it may be asbestos dust?? I have called and today went down to the office and the staff suggested I email you directly about animals in the walls. We are now listening to at least two squirrels run around all day and night. We saw one coming out of the hole on the outside of the building today and we were going to put a big bottle or something in the whole to block it but heard another one run across the living room ceiling. They are scratching and chewing in the corner of the living room and we will not be surprised to come home some day and find them running around the apartment. Not an exaggeration. We have friends staying this weekend and they have woken up in the night thinking it was in the room with them. I was told that the exterminator isn't qualified and it has to be wildlife or some sort of company to take care of it. If this can't be taken care of this week then we will start withholding rent payment until it is or your company can move us to another apartment, at your expense, that does not have this issue. I will be calling the Town of North Andover on Monday to see if there is anything they can do. Lew and I feel we have been quite patient but our patience has obviously run out.
