fee of at least 55 cents. Some matter having no intrinsic value, so
for as the registry service is concerned, may involve considerable

Domestic registered mail is subject to surcharge when the declared
value exceeds the maximum indemnity covered by the fee paid by

Dear Sir:
Your attention is called to the provisions of
Section 11 of Chapter 83 of the General Laws of Massachusetts, which
are as follows s
"The board of health of a town may require the owner or
occupant of any building upon land abutting on a public
or private way, in which there is a common sewer, to d
connect the sane therewith by a sufficient drain, and such
owner or occupant who fails to comply with such order shall
be punished by a fire of not, more than two hundred dollars."
Pursuant to that statute, and to the provisions
of Section 1 of its Regulations for Cesspools, Septic Tanks, Vault Privies
and Public Sewers, this Fsoaid has voted to require you to connect the
building; located at the address above written, by a sufficient drain
with the common, sewer on Stevens Street, to be completed on or before
July 15, 1961, and you are hereby ordered to do so.

Dear Miss Sheridan:
An examination has been made of the existing sewage
disposal system on the Stevens Street Premises of Mr. James
Cummings.
The present system consists of a cesspool that is over-
flowing.
In view of the odd shaped lot and the proximity to Stevens
pond it is recommended that a 750 ,gallon tank be installed with
approximately 90 lineal feet of drainage pipe. It will consist of
three laterals each 20 feet long and a 30 foot line running perpendicular
to the three laterals. This would provide about 210 square feet of
drainage area.
Mr. Cummingshas begin requested to submit a diagram showing
the proposed installation.
