(Leave Soace Biank) 6-1 Effective 11/10/89 p►ORTH 0 o a A SSACHUSE CONSERVATION DEPARTMENT Community Development Division September 21,2006 Mrs. Susan O'Brien 56 Stagecoach Road North Andover,MA 01845 RE: SITE INSPECTION-56 Stagecoach Road,North Andover Dear Mrs. O'Brien, It was a pleasure meeting you yesterday to discuss the removal of brush and trimming of some trees located along the edge of lawn at the above-referenced property. In reviewing a site plan,dated September 6, 1991 depicting your entire property it was noted that the wet area located to the right of your house is actually a stormwater detention pond. However,there is a jurisdictional wetland resource area directly behind the your house. It's my understanding that you wish to trim back the trees along the limits of the lawn,as they are overhanging towards / onto your house.This area begins from the blue spruce trees continuing along the right property line. There were also a two (2) red maples located directly off the rear right comer of the house that would be trimmed back as well. Based on my observations,this tree appeared to be experiencing dieback,exhibited by the large amount of dead limbs. Ferris Tree Service should determine if this tree is diseased and whether or not it should be removed. If it should be removed the stump must remain in the ground to provide soil stability for this area,as its immediately up gradient of the wetland resource area.There is also a birch tree located along the backside of the house that is also experiencing die back. Similar to the situation with the red maples,this tree can be trimmed.back. However if it is determined that the tree needs to be removed please be sure the stump remains in the ground.As such,the Conservation Department is authorizing the trimming and removal of the above-mentioned trees and brush.
