Thank you Susan Sawyer -----Original Message----- From: Bonnie and Jim Sousa [mailto:bjsousa@verizon.net] Sent: Tuesday, December 06, 2005 7:22 AM To: Sawyer, Susan Subject: 65 Linden Avenue Ms. Sawyer, I hope all is well with you. I've been communicating with Inspector Cronin of the North Andover Police Department over the last few years regarding my neighbors at 65 Linden Avenue. I'm not typically one to complain about how people keep their yard, but they are completely out of control. I'm hoping that you might be able to help because it appears as though the police, while helpful, have done what they can do and I'm afraid it hasn't been enough. There are now 5 derelict cars parked in various places throughout their property, one of which hasn't been used in about two years, one in three, and two others since I've moved here in 2001. Piles of trash, furniture, yard debris, and yes, even a kitchen sink, litter the property and basement windows and a utility shed are smashed to bits. A camper is also prevalent, especially since it appears someone is living in it from time to time. I'm wondering if there is anything the Health Department can legally do to try to persuade these folks to at least remove the derelict cars and piles of trash from their property. I've lived next to them for over four years and don't have much hope in complaining to them directly or waiting for them to do it on their own. The only action they've taken in the past is when the town has become involved. Due to their history of drug dealing, jail time, and alleged retribution to surrounding neighbors, I hope that you would please keep my complaint anonymous. I grew up in North Andover and have a lot of pride in my town and neighborhood and can't watch this happening without doing anything about it. Please let me know what you might be able to do to help, if anything. Thanks and take care.
