At that time we held a meeting at Rolling Ridge with you, Dennis Bedrosian of the Water Treatment Plant, Bruce Thibodeau the Director of the DPW and me. We had discussion over what had occurred during a recent serious rain/weather event that resulted in an overland raw sewage flow a few hundred feet from the lake due to failed pumps. Since the event, it had appeared that more serious problems were occurring somewhere within the properties connection from the buildings to the town sewer,that needed investigating. It was determined that Rolling Ridge would investigate and resolve the issue as soon as possible. In April you reported to us that the investigation resulted in the identification of blockages and/or damage within the pump line from the tanks to the street,which is approximately 2000 feet in length. Rolling Ridge engaged an engineer and contractor to work on the problem, however still in late July the overflow happened again at your property,which is within the watershed of the Town's water supply, Lake Cochichewick. This document is a formal Order to Correct. For the protection of the water supply,the Health Department must require corrective action to begin immediately. Failure to correct this problem within 30 days of receipt of this Order may result in fines. Until correction is completed please observe diligent observation of the pump and its alarm status.
