Upon a motion made by Ellen McIntyre, and seconded by Scott Karpinski, the Board of

6 . Petitioner seeks to construct a second floor to an existing
one-storey single-family residence which was built prior to
the establishment of zoning in North Andover and is not
conforming as to front setback, rear setback and lot area.
Petitioner seeks to build only upward and will not change the
footprint of the building, nor any existing condition other
than building height, for which no variance is requested.
7 . Petitioner' s lot is triangular in shape and is in fact as
large or larger than some in the neighborhood. He does not
seek to exacerbate any of the dimensional requirements for
which variance is requested. The proposed change will not
derogate from the character of the neighborhood and it would
be a hardship for Petitioner if he is not able to add a second
storey.
