DECISION
The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting on Tuesday, May 12,
1992 continued from April 14, 1992 upon the application of Anna
Gilbert requesting a variation of the lot width requirement under
Section 7, Paragraph 4.1 of the Zoning Bylaw so as to allow for
the continued existence of the structure on the premises located
at 701 Forest Street. The following members were present and
voting: Frank Serio, Chairman, William Sullivan, Vice -Chairman,
Walter Soule, and Anna O'Connor.
The hearing was advertised in the North Andover Citizen on April
1 and 8, 1992 and all abutters were notified by regular mail.
Upon a motion by Mr. Sullivan and second by Mr. Soule the Board
voted unanimously to DENY the variance as requested.
The Board finds that no hardship is shown and the granting of
this variance would derogate from the intent and purpose of
Section 10, Paragraph 10.4 of the Zoning Bylaw and would
adversely affect the neighborhood.

To whom it may concern:
We have received information from Attorney John J. Willis, Jr. concerning
the Variance Request of Mrs. Gilbert to have the lot lines on her property
redrawn, to allow her existing house to remain in place. Our home faces
this property directly across Forest Street.
We have no objection to Mrs. Gilbert's plan as described to us by
Attorney Willis, which would allow her to renovate the existing
structure rather than requiring her to demolish the building.
