Compact and sturdy, the OLIVER Model 777 slicer is easy to use and offers extra safety in operation. For instance, an operator must use both hands to start the slicer; it can't be started accidentally. An automatic feature holds the bread in place during slicing. Each blade is mounted independ- ently under balanced tension, and the reciprocating action slices soft, tender bread or hard -crusted rye with ease and efficiency. OLIVER slicers generally require nothing more than daily cleaning, periodic lubrication and occasional blade replacement to provide years of effective, trouble-free operation. For greater speed and ease of operation, the OLIVER bagging scoop is an inexpensive option. It does an excellent job where floor space or counter space is limited or at a premium. Construction The Model 777 Variety Slicer offers completely rigid, all -steel welded construction. Enameled surfaces are "bonderized" to bind the coating tightly and to resist rust and corrosion. Connecting links attached to the top of the blade frames have a damping effect that minimize vi- brations. Each slicing blade is independently mounted under balanced tension, and blades can be replaced quickly and easily without the necessity of a service call. Operating Information Stand on the discharge side of the slicer and pull the lever on the side of the machine as far down as it will go, and hold. With your left hand, place a loaf in front of the pusher unit at the back. Continue to hold lever down. Now with your left hand, pull the motor -starting knob at the front of the machine. Allow your right hand to move up with the lever until the bread contacts the blades. Remove your hand from the lever; allow pusher unit to push the bread through the blades. The motor and slicer will stop auto- matically when the slicing is com- pleted. Be sure blades have stopped before you remove the loaf from the slicer table.
