As a part of its Historic Preservation Enhancements Project funded, in part, thr6414 Community Preservation Act funding approved at the May, 2015 Annual Town Meeting, Ridgewood proposes to remove portions of the asphalf'roadways and replace the same with cobblestones, install 300± lineal feet of decorative Feld Ston : all for inscriptions;,install over 30 trees in addition to shrubs and perennial groundcover, ioaii;and seed as needed`to restore groundcover vegetation, and install a new irrigation system. In August, 2015,Norse Environmental Services, Iric' delineated'wetland resoi rce areas along the easterly side of East Meadow Avenue, including wetlands, and associated 25' No Diistur6ance Zoh&'*50' No-Build Zone and 100' Buffer Zone as shown on the attached plans The;°proposed riprovements are:lirnited to the westerly side of East Meadow Lane, and as such, work with`iir the 25' No,fisturbance.;Zone°'''is limited'to'planting of trees/shrubs and loaming; and seeding as needed. Furthermore,Work withinc 50' No-Build Zone is limited to plantings and foaming and reseeding the existing landscape areas to stabilize p'revtously eroded areas. Therefore, it is our opinion that the proposed improvements will not result m adverse n°npac$s to:wetland resource areas. In terms of scheduling,Ridgewood intends tea unmediatelj commence the work upon Commission approval, with the goal of completi dig the same in September,26' ,to coincide with the formal designation of Ridgewood Cemetery on the National Register:of Historic Places:by the U:8Park Service this fall.
