Drainage
•Since piping goes underneath structure upgraded
piping to cast iron at suggestion of Town
Engineer.
•Would install around structure if system needs
repair
•Storm Water Consultant indicated the design is
acceptable, but had some suggestions. These
have been shared with the engineer and general
contractor and will be incorporated where
possible.

Aesthetics
•Basic structure to stay within budget
•Can use same color as current trim for siding
and roof to mute the presence of the building
•Is behind the main building
•Can use screening plantings as well
8
Impact
•Parking – No additional parking places needed
•Traffic – School has utilized the planned changes to pick up and drop off before without impacting Main Street traffic flows
•Storm water – do not anticipate any significant impact – Area of gym (5,500 sf ) is equivalent to area of displaced pavement
•Construction – Mostly site work during school hours. Noise will be kept down to minimize impact on learning. Confined/Fenced in construction zone and separate entrance
9
