Removal of wood edging and several courses of patio block to allow for and
installation of concrete block retaining wall with subsequent restoration of patio
Conservation Conditions of Approval, NACC #217
Pursuant to the section 4.4 (L) of the North Andover Wetlands Protection Regulations,Jordan
Burgess, applicant/trustee, filed for a small project for work proposed at 47 .Millpond, North
Andover. The proposed work includes removal of a pressure treated wood edging and several
courses of patio block in order to install a new block retaining wall and re-establish the existing patio
in the same location. Work is within 50' of bordering vegetated wetland associated with Stevens
Pond.
During the August 8`}'public meeting, the North Andover Conservation Commission voted
unanimously to approve this project. The project is approved only as it relates to the Conservation
Commission and any and all other approvals should be obtained by the applicant/home owner. The
applicant is responsible for determining property boundaries. All work shall conform to the
following:

The following conditions are hereby mandated:
CONDI'T'IONS:
1. Prior to the start of construction the applicant shall ensure that the site contractor has reviewed.
the small project permit and is aware of the wetland resource area and the limits of the proposed
work.

2. Prior to the start of construction the applicant will install the erosion controls (minimum 12"
compost or bark mulch sock) from the rear corner of the condo unit and wrapping
approximately 8-10' along the west side of the patio. Once installed, contact the Conservation
Department to schedule a, site visit to inspect the installed erosion controls.
3. All project materials shall be stored on the paved driveway outside of the work area and covered
with a tarp, to prevent erosion into the drainage system.
4. All work shall be done by hand.
5. Upon completion of the approved project and site stabilization, please contact the Conservation
Department for a final inspection.
6. This .permit shall expire one year from the date of issuance.
