EXECUTIVE SESSION: The Executive Session convened at 7:05 P.M.
ATTENDANCE: The following were present: Rosemary Connelly Smedile, Chairman; James Xenakis;
Mark J.T. Caggiano; Thomas Licciardello, Mark Rees, Town Manager; Ray Santilli,Assistant Town
Manager.
Donald Stewart was absent.
The Board of Selectmen was individually polled and each voted to move into Executive Session. Vote
approved 4-0.
Negotiations with Non Union Employees
The Board of Selectmen did a performance evaluation on the Town Manager and the Chairman compiled
it into one report. The evaluation comments on his strengths, areas of improvement, and specific
objectives for the Town Manager to achieve in the next year. The Town Manager suggested releasing
this document to the public during Open Session.
The Town Manager said that he would like to begin negotiations on a possible successor contract to the
current one that expires on September 4, 2006. The Board decided to wait until all members were
present before discussing salaries and contracts.
Health Insurance for Non Union Employees
Several Board members asked to review health insurance benefits for non-union employees. The data
was compiled by staff and this will be reviewed by the Board.
ADJOURNMENT:
James Xenakis made a MOTION, seconded by Thomas Licciardello, to move out of Executive Session.
Vote approved 4-0.
