EXECUTIVE SESSION: The Executive Session convened at 7:00 p.m.
ATTENDANCE: The following were present: Rosemary Connelly Smedile, Chairman; James Xenakis;
Donald Stewart; Mark J.T. Caggiano; Thomas Licciardello, Mark Rees,Town Manager; Ray Santilli,
Assistant Town Manager.
The Board of Selectmen was individually polled and each voted to move into Executive Session. Vote
approved 5-0.
Real Estate Matter
John Simons from CPA and Nellie Aikenhead from PTL were present to give an update of the Cullen
property Purchase and Sale. The total price is$2.4 million(contingent on a minimum of permits for 8 lots)
Deposits$60,000 TPL on 1/9/06 Done and$50,000 Town on 3113/06. Town will purchase two interests,
10.6 acre fee simple interest in Open Space Parcel and 1.4 acre Conservation Restriction on CR Parcel.
PTL has contracted with LandVesl and Petersen LaChancef for self-contained appraisals; due on March
1, 2006.
Selectmen to execute on 312/06 a Purchase and Sale with TPL immediately following Town Meeting with
a anticipated closing date of June 30, 2006.
Note - 7:4S PM: Executive Session will adjourn and continue after Open Session
Note-10:15 PM: Continuation of Executive Session after Open Session
^ Town Manager FY06 Salary and contract
The Town Manager would like the Board to review his merit pay for FY06 and to start entertaining
contract negotiations.
James Xenakis made a MOTION, seconded by Donald Stewart, to authorize a Merit Raise of 3.75%
effective March 1,2006 upon clarification with the Town Manager. Vote approved 5-0.
Thomas Licciardello made a MOTION, seconded by Donald Stewart, to appoint a subcommittee of James
Xenakis and Mark Caggiano to begin negotiating a three-year contact with the Town Manager. Vote
approved 5-0.
ADJOURNMENT:
Donald Stewart made a MOTION, seconded by Mark Caggiano, to adjourn at 11:00 PM out of Executive
Session. Vote approved 5-0.
