Karen,
In regards to the applicant applying for a mobile food truck permit,DBA Augusta's Chicken on the Road,
the Fire Department has the following recommendations.
This truck will need to be inspected by the Fire Department and must comply with all State and Local
regulations regarding cooking equipment and other related equipment such as special suppression
systems, exhaust hoods, extinguishers, propane fuel and egress. The owner should contact the FD and
schedule an appointment with Fire Prevention to inspect the vehicle. The FD will require documentation
on certain equipment related to cooking.
