EXECUTIVE SESSION: The Executive Session convened at 7:00 p.m.
ATTENDANCE: The following were present: Thomas Licciardello, Chairman; James Xenakis; Daniel P.
Lanen; Mark J.T. Caggiano; Rosemary Connelly Smedile, Mark Rees, Town Manager; Ray Santilli,
Assistant Town Manager,
The Board of Selectmen was individually polled and each voted to move into Executive Session. Vote
approved 5-0.
Greenery Project Update
Community Development Director Curt Bellavance gave an update report on the property located at 75
Park Street formerly the Greenery. An auction is schedule for March 13, 2007, a check for$50,000 is
required on the day of the sale.
The Housing Partnership Committee has been working with Neighborhoods of Affordable Housing
(NOAH)to purchase the property and redevelop the site for affordable housing. NOAH has scheduled a
meeting with neighbors on February 28, 2007 to discuss this proposal.
The town should consider additional funds through Community Development Block Grants, HOME funds
and possible Community Preservation.
Mark Caggiano suggested that the Board use the following motion in Open Session to put on the warrant.
Mark Caggiano made a MOTION, add an article on the warrant that the town purchase or obtain the
property by eminent domain.
Collective Bargaining
ADJOURNMENT:
James Xenakis made a MOTION, seconded by Rosemary Smedile,to move out of Executive Session.
Vote approved 5-0.
