EXECUTIVE SESSION: The Executive Session convened at 7:00 p.m.
ATTENDANCE: The following were present: Chairman Rosemary Connelly Smedile, Clerk Mark J.T.
Caggiano; Daniel P. Laren; Richard A. Nardella;Tracy M. Watson; Mark Rees, Town Manager; Ray
Santilli,Assistant Town Manager.
The Board of Selectmen was individually polled and each voted to move into Executive Session. Vote
approved 5-0.
NEPBA Local 2 - Patrol Officers/Police Sergeants
The negotiating team of Assistant Town Manager Ray Santilli, Selectman Tracy Watson, Labor Counsel
Timothy Norris and Police Chief Richard Stanley has reached a tentative agreement with the patrol
officers/sergeants union. This new two-year contract will be in effect from July 1, 2007 through June 30,
2009.
The salary increase is 2.5%for July 1, 2007, zero salary increase for July 1, 2008. The offer would insert
a new section 5: Sick Leave Bank. Employees who wish to participate in the sick leave bank must
submit a statement to that effect to the Police Chief within thirty(30)calendar days of mutual ratification.
Those who join will contribute two(2)of their personal sick leave days to the sick leave bank from their
personal banks of accrued unused sick leave.The sick bank will be administered by the Police Chief or
his designee.
Mark Caggiano made a MOTION, seconded by Tracy Watson, to accept the Memorandum of Agreement
^ (MOA)with the patrol officers/sergeants. Vote approved 4-0.
ADJOURNMENT:
Tracy Watson made a MOTION, seconded by Richard Nardella, to move out of Executive Session. Vote
approved 4-0.
