The raised covered porch does rest on CMU blocks around a portion of the perimeter, however the area below the porch is not completely enclosed. The building sewer runs underground beneath the covered porch. As such, the offsets to the septic tank and leach field should be from the foundation wall where the building sewer exists the actual foundation as shown on the approved plan. The design plan depicts this as a covered porch but the pictures of the tank excavation submitted by the installer clearly show this as a cinder block foundation with a crawl space or more which includes a window beneath the covered porch. Please submit an originally signed and stamped letter stating that this setback distance of 5.5' meets Title 5 criteria without a variance and we will issue the COC. A benchmark was added to the plan. 2. The approximate location of the existing system has been added to the plan. Note 24 has been added to Sheet 1 regarding the abandonment of the system. 3. A riser with a manhole cover to grade has been shown on the Profile View on Sheet 2. 4. Note 23 on Sheet 1 has been added regarding the annual maintenance of the effluent filter. 5. All elevations have been provided in the soil evaluation results. 6, The side section view of the D-Box on Sheet 2 has been revised to a 9 outlet D-Box. The Shea Concrete Item Number has been revised to B-9DBH. trust that these responses fully address all of your comments.
