Fencing & Native Plantings
Conservation Conditions of Approval, NACC #230
Pursuant to section 4.4.2 (H & CT) of the North Andover Wetlands Protection regulations,William.
Schmidt, applicant/homeowner, filed for a small project for work proposed at 129 Carlton Lane,
North Andover. The proposed work includes installation of a chain link fence and planting of native
vegetation within the Buffer Lone to Bordering Vegetated Wetland (BVV J associated with an
intermittent stream.
During the April 24, 2018 public meeting, the North Andover Conservation Commission voted
unanimously to approve this project. The project is approved only as it relates to the Conservation
Commission and any and all other approvals should be obtained by the applicant/home owner.All
work shall conform to the following:

Application Checklist; Letters from Bill Schmidt dated April 10,
2019 and April 22, 2019; copy of portion of septic plan showing
fence location (in green) and planting areas 1, 2,& 3;
The following conditions are hereby mandated:.
CONDITIONS: 1.
1. The fence shall be installed as shown on the herein referenced plan. The fence shall be a
minimum of 6 inches off the ground to allow for wildlife movement.

2. Approved native plantings include white pine trees (hinirs strobus) and high-bush blueberry
(vaccinium corynbosum) shrubs. Five to six native blueberry shrubs shall be planted in area 1 Gold
garden bed) approximately 3 to 4 feet from the intermittent stream. Additional blueberry shrubs

shall be planted in area 2.Area 3 would be appropriate for white pine. If any changes are
proposed they should be approved by the Conservation Department.
3. Upon completion of the approved project and site stabilization,please contact the Conservation
Department for a final inspection.
4. This permit ShaU expire six months ftoni the date of issuance.
