The work consists of tilling and planting less than one acre of land for vegetable production. All work will be more than 25 feet from wetland resource areas. An electric fence or other demarcation of the garden area shall be installed up gradient of the 25' No-Disturbance done. The Water Commission, holders of the Conservation Restriction, shall be notified of the renewal of the organic farm permit, 2. Prior to the start of construction, boundary stakes or electric fencing will be placed more than 25 feet from the edge of wetland resource areas. Fencing/stakes shall be approved by the Conservation Department during a preconstruction meeting. No materials will be stored or stockpiled in the 25-foot No-Disturbance Zone. 3. All farming will be done in accordance with the herein referenced documents including the Soil Conservation Plan. Only organic weed and pest control shall be used on the site. Fertilizer shall be 5-4-3 as described during the public meeting or as recommended based on UMass Extension Soil Testing. 4. Upon completion of yearly farming activities, the applicant/farmer will submit an annual report and photos of the active farm to document the farming procedures used throughout the year as outlined in the Soil Conservation Plan. The annual report shall be due prior to March 31M of each year. The Conservation Department shall conduct an end of year inspection of the farm prior to submission of the annual report. 5. This permit shall expire one year from the date of issuance and can be renewed annually with approval from the Conservation Commission at a public meeting. All conditions of this permit must be met for subsequent application for renewal to be made. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any further questions or concerns in this regard.
