Call to order and opening comments—Tim
Discussion starts on or about 7:03 pm/01:00 on video time
TT: Thank you,Department Heads for all coming tonight to the Public Hearing. If anyone has
any comments or questions we are here to listen (addressing this to all of the Department Heads
and Public).
TT: My overall observation is that we have a good Budget for the year and good team work. This
year more than anything else, you all came together, and everyone did what they had to do. I am
very pleased with this current year's Budget.
TT: Went on to say that his concerns are not with this year's Budget, but for the outline years,
and I think we all agree that the schools, OPEB, pensions and retirements, all of these things are
costs to the Town(costs that are coming in).

Discussion starts on or about 7:05 pm/01:50 on video time
Stan Limpert from 43 Stonecleave Road walked up to the microphone stating that he has more
questions than statements on this Budget. Stan Limpert went on to say, that like TT everything
on the Budget looks good to me.
The thing that seemed odd to me was at this point of the Budget process having a Public Hearing
now, when the Budget is already cast in stone. This Public Hearing should come before we get to
this point.
The Finance Committee discussed the date of the Public Hearing with Stan Limpert and also
mentioned that the Finance Committee gives an opportunity for anyone to give a Public
Comment (during all our regular meetings) Public Comments are on all the Finance Committee
agendas.
Stan Limpert Commented that he is more interested in the process, regarding the Budget, and
hopes that we use this same process in the future, since it works so well. It is an orderly Budget
process.
Hope we are able to institute this same budget process in the future. It is a rational and orderly
process. I hope we don't lose this budget process (going forward), it works.
Stan Limpert, spoke of the AAA Bond Rating that the Town has and what it took for us to get to
that point and that we want to remain at that rating and not go backwards.
Stan Limpert Thanked the Committee for all the good work that they are doing.
Adjournment 7:16
LG: Made a motion to adjourn the meeting
S W: Second the motion
All were in favor to adjourn
Immediately following this Public Hearing we moved to the Regular Finance Committee Meeting
