Response to Plan Review Comments
Dear Mr. LaGrasse:
I have received the June 17, 2019 review for the upgrade septic design system at 487 Winter
Street. I offer the following responses:
1. Dimensions of the soil absorption system have been noted.
2. The method of abandonment is noted.
3. The bard and model of the effluent filter has been provided as well as a copy of the MassDEP
approval letter.
4. Note 18 has been clarified.
5. The plan noted covers to final grade.
6. Note 11 has been clarified.
7. The d-box inlet tee has been specified in the notes.
8. Pump calcs have been revised.
9. Flowback has been added to pump calcs.
10. Emergency storage calc has been provided.
11. Soil and percolation forms are attached.
12. Proposed fill was already specified in note 16.
13. The building sewer slope has been revised.
14. The detail highlights the one compartment tank.
15. The owner has been provided with the required information, and will submit a signed form
stating so.
16/17. The best feasible upgrade plan/maximum area available has been noted on the plan, based on
available soil testing.

We have completed our review of the revised plans for this property and we have found a number of items which remain
unattended to. Most of these are technical in nature, while the last one relates to the owner's consent to using the
specific type of system indicated on the design plan (this is the document which is apparently being prepared and signed
and provided to Toni. Since we are completing this plan review today and it is currently not in your possession it remains
in this letter).

Response to Plan Review Comments
Dear Mr. LaGrasse:
I have received the July 2,2019 review for the upgrade septic design system at 487 Winter
Street. I offer the following responses:
1. Dimensions of the soil absorption system have been corrected.
2. Note 11 and the plan agree relative to access covers.
3. The distribution box detail has been revised to depict the tee,and the notes also address the
issue.
4. Pump calcs have been added to demonstrate how the float spacing was determined.
5. Flowback has been added to pump calcs.
6. Emergency storage calc has been provided.
7. Proposed fill is specified in note 16, with reference to 310 CMR.
8. The optional baffle wall has been removed from the detail, as preferred by the reviewer.
9. One pump has been specified in the detail.
10. The note has been removed.
11. The owner has been provided with the required information, and has submitted a signed form
stating so.
