On a motion :mmde by Mr. ~athaniel Stevens a vote of thanks
was extended to Er. Ohickering,Moderator of the meeting, for his
untiring services to the town in this capacity.

~nd Irving Howes served as tellers in votes taken at the meeting.
Tho following motion was made and adopted by the
meeting:-
Membership of the Board of Public Welfare or of the
School Committee shall nor, disqualify from employmen~ by either
Board, and said Boards are authorized ~o fix the .compensation
'sf member employees, subject r,o ~he approval of the Selectmen;
this action being taken under athorization of SectiGn 4-~ of
Ohapter 41 of ~he ~cneral L~ws.
