North Andover, April 18, 193%.
I have notified the inhabitants of North Andover,qualified
to vote in Town Affairs, by posting true and atbested copies of this
warrant at the ~own Hall and at five or more public places in each
votingprecinct; said copies having been posted not more than
fifteen days nor less than ten days before the time.: of holding said
meeting.

Pursuant to the requirements of the foregoing warrant a
meeting of the citizens was held April 30th~1935~ at seven o'clock P.M.
" Inthe absence of Mr. Chickering~ourModerator~ Mr. Joseph
V. Flanagan was elected temporary moderator.
~ir. J~mes P. Hainsworth of the ~oard of Selectmen presented
figures from the Lawrence G~s and Electric Company~ necessary to
the street lighting system on,he present all night basis and also on
the one o'clock A. M. basis~for eight months : from May first 1935-
On the present basis the cost would be $62$9.99
On the 1 A.M. basis ~46.64
less the balance of $2300.00 ~ from ~he original appropriation of
$~000.O0~ it would be necessary to appropriate the sum of $39¢9.99~
to continue on the present basis.
Mr. McAloon~ the chairm~u of %he Advisory Board made a
motion that the town appropriate three thousand to suppliment the
balance in the street lighting appropriation~ fifteen hundred of
this amount to be raised by taxatio~ and fifteen hundred to be taken
from the Reserve ~'und.
Mr. Maloney offered an amendment to this motion that the
amount appropriated be two thousand dollars. The amendment was lost.
The moderator then ordered a hand vote on the original
motion--- three thousand dollars--- One hundred ten voted in favor
and five were opposed.
