in Office of ~epresentatives
Third ~ssex Dis%riot.
Mr. Joseph A. Duncan
Town Clerk
North Andcver, mass.
We, the undersigned qualified voters~of
the zovm of ~orth Andover have reason to believe and do believe
that'%he records, or copies of records, made by %he Election
Officers of precinct 0ne~ ~wo, Three and Four at the preliminary
election held ~eptember l~, 19~6, are erroneous for the following
reasons: ~otes cast for ~errmrd J. Chsmpy for ~he ~emocratic
Nomination for Eepresentative to the General Court for ~he Third
Essex Distric~ were counted for Foleyi ~ewett,~itchell, Riordau
and Scanlon, the other Democratic Eandidates~ other votes for said
Bernard J. Champy were called blanks~ and votes co~uted for Walter
T. Riordan at said elections were blanks.
We believe a recount of the ballots cast in
these precincts ~ill affect ~he nomination of ~slter T. Riordan
at said election.
