Voted to raise and appropriate the sum of three hundred dollars to install a fire alarm box at the corner of Ave. and Herrick Road. Mass. Article 4Z. Voted to accept Young Road a distance of 225 feet from Herrick Road when this way meets the requirements of the Board of Survey. Article 4~. Voted to accept Moody Street a distance of $00 feet from Chadwick Street, according to the Moody Plan, when the requirements of the Board of Survey are met. Article 48. Voted to accept two hundred fifty feet of Lyman Road from a point already accepted 280 feet from Massachusetts Ave. when the requirements of the Board of Survey are met. .~rticle 48. Voted to accept Little Road from Herrick Road to Lyman Road, a distance of 278 feet, when the requirements of the Board of Survey are met. Article 47. Voted to accept East Water Street from its intersection with Chickering Road in a Northwesterly direction to where it was previously accepted, a distance of about 818 feet, in accordance with layout approved by the Board of Survey. Article 48. Voted to accept Belmont Street.from tho intersection of Marblehead Street toward Hodges Street to where it was previously accepted, a distance of about 980 feet, in accordance ~ith layout approved by the Bosrd of Survey. to the.intersection of Francis to the intersection of Patriot to the intersection of Article ~9. Voted to accept the following Streets all in accordance with layout approved by the Board of Survey: -. Baldwin Street, from the intersection .of Union Street Francis Street, a distance of about 220 feet. Street, from the intersection of Baldwin Street Patriot Street, a distance of abou~ 812 feet. Street from the intersection of Railroad. Ave. ~elmont Street, a distance of about 888 feet. Sargent Street, from the intersection of Patriot Street in a northerly direction toward Hodges ~tree't, about 108 feet. These streets are grouped together because they form a thoroughfare from Belmont and Sargent Streets through to Union Street. Article 80. 'Voted to raise, and appropriate nine hundred dollars for sewer on Morris Street when houses are constructedand street is brought within six inches of grade established by the Board of Survey. Article 51. Voted to raise and approprist~ the s~m of sevonteen hundred dollars and the property owners be required to furnish a satisfactory guarantee to pay 4% of the cost of construction for a period of ten years and that the street be brought within six inches of grade established by the Board of Survey. .~rticle 82. Voted to raise and appropriate' the sum of five hundred and f~fty dollars provided the property owners furnish a satisfactory guarantee to pay.4~ of the'cost of construction as water rates for a period of ten years. ~dJourned Town 'Meeting 'Ma~ch ~19~ 1938. Voted to raise and appropriate the sum.of thr.eo five hundred dollars to be used in con~snction with money which may be allotted by the state or county, or both, to finish the rebuildin~ of Boxford Street under Chapter 90, General Laws. A~ticle 54. Voted to raise and appropriate the sum of seven thousand dollars for W. P. A. sidewalk projects. This sum to be used for gravel, sand end.trucking expenses. Article 85. Voted to raise and appropriate the sum of one thousand dollars to make repairs on the old steam road roller. Article 86. Unfavorable action voted. Article~ 57. It 2as voted to refer this article to the Highway Department and that the request be treated as a W..P.A. project. Article 58. Voted that th~ construction of surface drain on Prescott Street be referred to the Hightway Department for treatment as a W. P. A. project. John McDonald, John Lyons, Lillian Dearden, Alice May, Irving Howes and Harry F. Cunningham checked voters into the meeting. Philip M. Hamilton, John W. Costello, Charles Donovan and Willia~ J. McGee assisted the Moderator in taking count of hand votes. George W. To~rne the last surviving member of Needham Post, G. A. R. sat on the platform during the~entire meeting. The citizens present payed him a tribute by rising and M~. Torte responed by stsnding at attention. ~. Towne is planning to turn over the Grand Army Lot in Ridgewood Cemetery to the American Legion for future care. About five hundred and fifty voters were present. Lewis,presen~ Co~.~mnamder of the North An~over Post of the American Legion; Harold P. Barring~on,Junior Commander of the North Audover Post; Charles W. Wentworth,past CoEEander of the Post amd present ~mericanization Officer. These to be in addition to the present co~ittee. This Committee may be somewhat unwieldly this year. If it so found it can be reduced another year,but I feel that so long as there is a representative of the G A R he should remain a member of this committee, and this same reason applies to ~a~tin Cas~y and John D. McRobbie as veterans of the Spanish War, and that Ralph Carey,designated Registration Officer of the Grand Army, by virtue of his office,is likewise essential to the committee,and that hereafter the current Commander of tho Legion will be automatically added each year and the oldes.t in point of service of the Post Commanders retired automatlcally.~ Very truly yours Cornelius J.
