To either of the Constables of the Town of North Andover: Greeting:- In the name of the Cc~m~onwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to notify and warn the inhabitants of North Andover qualified to vote. la Town Affairs, to meet in the Selectmen's Office, Town Building, in said North Andover, on Monday, the twenty-eighth day of May, 1945, at seven-thirty o'clock. P. M., then and there to act on the following business: Article 1. To see if the Town will vote to amend Article VI, Section i of the Zoning By-Laws to read as follows: "A Board of Appeals.of seven members, five of whom shall be known as regular members and two of whom shall be known as associate members; two of the zegular members to be members of the Planning Board, to be appointed by the Board of Selectmen, is hereby created under provisions of Chapter 40 of the General Laws and any and all amendments and additions thereto, including Section 30 of · Chapter 269 of the Acts of 1933; to assume the duties and powers given to said Board herein before stated particularly with reference to the following." Article 2. To see if the Town will vote to amend the Zoning By-Laws, by changing the classification of property owns8 by Annie L.S. Gila, from a residential to a business area. Said property is located at the co,met of Main and Second Streets, and is described: Bounded Northerly " Northeasterly " Easterly " Southerly " Westerly by Second Street about 1B5.$5 feet ~y a curve of 19.~1 feet, radius 30.95 feet by Main Street 63.23 feet by land of John P. Murphy about 213.6 feet by land of John P. Murphy about 2B feet And. you are directed to serve this warrant by posting true and attested copies thereof at the T ownHall, and at five o~ more public places in each voting precinct. Said copies to be posted not more than fifteen days nor less than ten days before the time of holding said meeting. Hereof fail not and make due return of this warrant with your doings thereon to the Town Clerk, at the time and place of said meeting. Voted that a Board of Appeals consisting of five regular men, ers, two of whom are members of the Planning Board, and two associate membere, all to be appointed by the Board of Selectmen, is hereby created under provisions of Chapter 40 of the General Lawe and any and all'amendments and additione thereto, including Section 30 of Chapter 269 of the Acts of 193S. The term of office of the five original regular members shall be ~o arranged so that the term of office of one member will expire in January or each year. Succeesors shall be appointed at the expiration of their respective terms to serve five years. Associate members shall be appointed for two year terms, the original appointments being for the one year term and a two year.term respectively. In the caee of s temporary vacancy, inability to act, or an interes~ on the part of s regular m~mber, the chairman of the Board of Appeals shall designate an aeeoclate member to serve in his place. Voted that ~he Zoning By-Law of the Town of North Andover, Massachusetts, is hereby amended as follows: Property of Annie L. S. Gile, hereinafter described, is changed from the zoning claeeificatlon of Restricted Residential District to Buelness District; provided., howe~er, that no license shall be granted for. the sale of any form of alcoholic beverage on the said property.. The Subscribers, Selectmen of the Town of North Andover and the Engineer of the City of Lawrence having met this twen~yr third day of NOVEMBER, ~ to per~am, bulate the lines between sald~ town and city, proceeded as follows. Beginning at the corner of Lawrence, Methuen and North Andover, an unmarked point in the middle of the Merrimac River, south 88° 10' east and about ~00 feet distant from the witness mark, a granite monument, marked L M, situated at the top of the bank, 50' from the westerly shore of the river; thence southerly along the middle of the ~{errimac River to corner l, an unmarked point in the middle of the river opposite the easterly bank of Shawsheen River; thence southerly along the easterly hank of Shawsheen River to co~ner 2, an u~merked point on the easterly bank of the river at the north- erly side of the Salem Turnpike bridge and 3~ feet northwesterly /'rom the witness mark, a granite monument, marked A L, situated'on the northeasterly side of the Salem Turnpike; thence southeasterly along the northeasterly line of the Salem Turnpike about 2,331'feet to the corner 3, a granite monument, marked L NA, situated near the southerly corner of the wall, at the northerly side of the inter- section of Railroad Street with the Salem Turnpike; thence southerly along the westerly line of Railroad Street about 1,052 feet to the corner of Andover, Lawrence and North Andover, a rough granite monu- men~ marked A L NA and situated on the westerly side of High Street, Andover, or Railroad Street, North Andover.
