I have notified the inhabitants of the Town of North Andover, qualified to vote in Town Affairs, by posting true and attested copies of this warrant at the Town Hall and at five or more public places in each voting precinct, said copies having been posted not more than fifteen days nor less than ten days before the time of holding said meeting. North Andover, October 17,1947. Alfred H. McKee Town Meeting October 27. 194~. Article 1. Voted to appropriate from available funds a sum of not less than one thousand(S1000.00) dollars, to insure school children for injuries incurred in athletic contests and the physical education program conducted in the public schools, according to ~eneral aws, Chapt. 40, Sec. 5, Paragraph 40A. Unanimous vote. Article 2. Voted to transfer from available funds the sum of one thousand($1OO0.00)dollars, to be used to excavate the town yard to grade, supply gravel, tar and equipment and to move the chain link fence so as to provide proper access to town garages. Voted that filling removed be taken to town gravel bank. Unanimous vote Article 3. Voted to transfer to the ~olice Department expense appropriation from Art. 38 of the 1947 Annual Tov~ Meeting, the sum of three hundred seventy-three dollars and ten cents. Unanimous vote. Article 4. Voted to'transfer to the Police Department salaries appropriation(Special Officers) from Article 38 of the 1947 Annual Town Meeting, the sum of two hundred dollars. Unanimous vote. Article Voted to authorize the Board of ~ire Engineers to sell the. 19345~uick Ambulance, ~roceeds from sale to be turned over to the ~own Treasurer. Unanimbus vote. Article 6. Voted to transfer to Outside Relief and ~epairs appro~riatlon from Aid to ~epandent Children appropriation , ~ the sum of two thousand five hundred ($2500.00)dollars' Unanimous vote. Article 7- Voted to amend the zoning by-laws as called for in this article changing the classification of the described property from an agricultural district to a business district. The vote was unanimous and so declared. Article 8. Voted to change the classification of premises fully described in this article from an agricultural district to a business area. The vote was unanimous and so declared. Article 9. Voted to change the classification as described under Parcel One, Parcel ~wo and Parcel Three of this article from a residential to a business area. The vote was unanimous and so declared. Number at meeting about sixty.
