Commonwealth of Massachusetts. the Constables of the Town of North Andover: In the name of'the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to notify and warn the inhabitants of North Andover, qualified to vote in Town. Affairs, to meet in the Town Hall in skid North Andover on Monday evening, the twelfth day of June 1950, at eight o'clock P.M., then and there to act on the ~o~lowing business: ARTICLE 1. To see if the'town will vote to rescind the following part of Article ~6 which was voted at the Adjourned Annual Town Meeting on March 18, 19~0. 5. The posting of a bond by the petitioners and/or owners with the Selectmen, in such~forms and~Lamount as the latter may require, to assure the town that, six months after the completion of the project, the roads and side- walks affected thereby shall have been so constructed and repaired, in- cluding~the~installation of all necessary drainage system therein, as to meet such requirements as the Highway Surveyor may impose as conditions precedent to his certification of such ways under the Selectmen's "Regulations for Laying 0ut~Streets~ (As set forth on page ll0 of the 19[~9 Annual Town Report). ToJsee if the town will vote to transfer from unappropriated available funds in the Treasury the sum of Four Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($4,800.00) for the construction and repair of the roads~and sidewalks on Sawyer Road Five Hundred and Fifty (550) feet from Pembrook Road ac as to meet such requirements as the Highway Surveyor may impose as conditions'precedent to his certification of such ways under the Selectmen's "Regulations'for Laying Out .Streets", (as set forth on page ll0 of the 1948 Annual Town Report); and for installing drainage on Sawyer Eoad for the same Five' Hundred and Fifty (550) feet and an additional Two Hundred and Forty (2k0) feet on Pembrook Road to its intersection with. To see if the town will vote to transfer from unappropriated available funds in the Treasury the sum of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) for installing drainage on Lyman Road from its intersection with Pembrook Road for a distance of Three Hundred (500) feet towards Middlesex Street; and that the assessment of betterments shall be made to recover the costs of this article under Chapter 80 of the General Laws as amended; and that the Selectmen be authorized, empowered and directed to take such steps as may be necessary to layout such drainage system and to provide for the assess- ment of bettcrmensts therefore under said Chapter 80 as amended. To see if the Town will raise and appropriate ortransfer from available funds Three Hundred Dollars ($500.00) to.purchase the narrow strip of land on Dana Street, from Marblehead Street to Be~verly Street.~ adjacent to the town sand bank lot and containing about 5,764 squar~ feet' of land, so as to prowide the town frontage on Dana Street and complete the grading of the entire area provided for by Article 12 of the Annual Town Meeting. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from available funds in the Treasury a sum of money to be added to the Stabilization Fund established under Chapter 12~ of the Acts of 19~5 (Section 5B~of Chapter ~0). Petition of the School Building Committee. ARTICLE 1~. To see if the Town will vote to sell to Philip T. Miller for the sum of Six Hundred Eighty Dollars ($680.00), or such other sum as the meeting may determine, the land owned by the said Town of North Andover and lo~ated on Dale Street and being as hereafter described, and to authorize the Board of Selectmen to execute and deliver such deeds or papers as may be necessary to complete the transfer of sai~ premises in behalf of the Town to the said Philip T. Miller. Said premises ars described as follows:' A certain parcel of land i~ North Andover, Massachusetts, located on the northerly side of Dale Street, as shown on a plan of land in North Andover Massachusetts, surveyed for the Town.of North Andover, by Ralph B. Brasseur: C.E., dated May 25, 1950, scale 1".80', and bounded and described as follow~ Beginning at the corner of the wall on the northerly side of Dale Street at land of Miller and land of Appleton. 612.56 feet to the corner of the wall at land of Leland; thence northeasterly by the wail and land of Leland 385.88 feet to an angle in the wall; thence southeasterly, stillby the land of Leland 180.~ feet by a stone wall and further on thesame course ~57.02 feet by land o of Leland and a ditch to an iron pipe in the ditch; thence southerly, by a stone wall and other land of the Town of North Andover 7~2.83 feet to a .corner in the wall at Dale Street; ~hence westerly and northwesterly, by the stone wall marking the northerly line of Dale Street, 1060 feet to the point of beginning, containing seventeen (17) acres, more or less. To see if the Tov~ will vo~e to accept and add to'the existing By- Laws, the following article and sections applying tQ electrical or wiring inspec=or and to be known as Article 12A of the Town By-Laws: Section l. No person shall install wires, conduits, apparatus, fixtures~ or other ~! appliances for carting or. using electricity for light, heat or power , within, or connected .~o any building, without first notifying the InspecTor of Wires, in writing, of the proposed inst~l'latlon. Section 2. All wires, cables, conduits, race-ways, fittings, appliances or mprivate proper~y which are intended for .the~tra~smission of electricity, whether for insulation, lighting, he~ting or powe~ or .~o be connected with an outside circuit, shall b~ made, ~placed, and kept safe to the satisfaction of'the electrical inspector and he may a= all proper and reasonable times have access to such pro- perty for the purpose of inspecting such equipment and materials.
