vote in Town Affairs,by posting true and attested copies of this warrant
at the Town Hall and at five or more public places in each voting precinct.
Said copies having been posted not more than fifteen days nor less than ten
days before the time of holding said meeting.

At the Special Town Meeting held in the ~'w~
g is the vote on articles mn the Warrant:
ARTICLE 1. VOTED that the Town of North Andover accept $300,000.00 from the
Western Electric Company to be applied toward the costs of a new pumping
spation, new standpipe and new and ~arger water mains required in connection
with extensions to ,th.e water system, said sum of $300,000.00 to be held in
escrow by the Town Treasurer and expended by the Board or,Public Works with
the advice, consent ~ud approval of the Western Electric Company; any balance
remaining upon completion of the ex=enslons to the water supply system to be
refunded to the Western Electric Company; and the Board of Public ~orks be
and is hereby autl~orized to enter into all agreements and contracts necess-
ary to the carrying out of water system extension. Unanimous vo~e favorable
ARTICLE 2. VOTED that the sum of $5,000.00 be taken from available funds in
the Town Treasury to be expended nnder the direction of theBoard of Public
Works to locate and develop a new and additional source of water supply.
ARTIC~LE 3. VOT~ that the sum of~$~5,000.00 be raised and appropriated to be
expen~ed under the direction of the Board of. Public Works for th~ purpose of
lining the following water mains wi~h linings of not less. than 1/l~ of an
inch: Chestnut Street from ~lk Street to the reservoir and 0sgood Street
from'Andover Stree= to Prescott Street

in accordance wi~h the~provisions of Chapter ~$ of the General Laws as amended,
such issue to be paid in not more.than 15 years from its date. Unanimous
votefavorable.
ARTICLE ~. VOTE~ that the sum of $200.16 received in settlement of damage to the
bulldozer at the disposal site, be transferred from insurance ~eceipts,to the
refuse disposal expense account.-
ARTICLE ~. VOTED that the sum of $2,100.00 be taken from available funds in
the Town Treasury to extend the sewer on Moody Street from Chadwick Streeb
to the residence of Frank Grande.
All of the above article were voted unanimously and so declared.
Approximately 260 registered voters were present.
Mr. Philip Busy and Russell Chase were appointed counters to assist, the
Town Clerk if hand vote required.
