VOTED that the sum of $465,000 be raised and appropriated.for the purpose of constructing and originally equipping and furnishing a new elementary school, and the improving, landscaping, grading, and fencing for school purposes of the grounds thereof; and that to meet said appro- priation the sum of $25,000 be raised in~the~tax'~levy~of the current year, and that the treasurer with the approval of the Selectmen, b~, and~is hereby, authorized to borrow the sum of $~0,000 and to issue bonds or notes of the Town therefor, said bonds or no~es to be payable in Accordance with the provisions of Chapter44 of the General Laws as amended, the whole to be paid in not more tha~ 20 years from the date of issue of the first bond or note, or at such earlier time as the Treasurer and Selectmen may determine. · The vote Was AFFIP~TIVE 169 NEGATIVE 48. ARTICLE 9. VOTED that the Town authorize the School Building Committee, created under Article ~4 of the Warrant of the Annual ~own Meeting held March 16, 1946, to enter into any and all contracts necessary for the ~purpose of carrying out the vo~es passed under Article 8 relati~e°~o the building and originally equipping of a new elementary school, =ogether with the improving, landscaping, grading, and fencing of the grounds for school purposes. The~vote was unanimous and so declared. M&eting opened at 8 P.~., and adjourned at 8:55 P.M. ~ .~ SPECIAL TOWN ~'.~TING OF FEBRUARY ~, 1957 ARTICLE 1. VOTED that the Town raise and ~ppropriate for the purpose of acquiring by purchase, .taking by eminent domain or otherwise from the owner or owners the tracts, of land as described in ~rticle i and for the purpose indicated·in said article, that the Board of Selectmen be and hereby is authorized to act for the Town in connection with this Article or take a~y other action in relation thereto, and that the sum of $625.00 be raised and appropriated for the purpose of subdivision A1 of this article, that the sum of $500.00 be raised ~and appropriated for the purpose of subdivision A2 of this article, that the sum of $100.00 be raised and appropriated for the purpos~ of subdivision B1 of this article, and that the sum of $150.00 be raised and appropriated for the purpose of subdivision B2 of this article.
