(97 ) -9 - FAX(97 ) 6 -766 ite: www.norseenvironmental.com December 18, 2017 Ms. Denise Favorat 31 Johnson Circle North Andover, MA 01845 Re: 31 Johnson Circle North Andover, MA 01845 Ms. Favorat, Norse Environmental Services, Inc.performed a site visit, at the above site, on December 5, 2017 and flagged the resource areas. The site has an existing single family dwelling and associated appurtenances. A bordering vegetated wetland and associated intermittent stream is located at the rear of the property. The property is located on the side of a drumlin and the intermittent stream is a result of the hillside weep. The wetland is flagged in the field with blue ribbon and metal tags labeled 1A-10A. The wetland is a red maple swamp that consist of red maple (Acer rubrum),Norway maple (Acer platanoides) and red oak (Quercus rubra)in the overstory. The understory glossy buckthorn(Rhanmus frangula) and burning bush (Euonymus atropurpureus). The herbaceous layer was not identified because it was covered with a few inches of snow. The Web Soil Survey maps the site as Woodbridge Soil. Woodbridge soil consist of nearly level to steep, deep (5+ft.), moderately well drained soils on drumlins. They formed in compact glacial till. Woodbridge soils have friable fine sandy loam or sandy loam surface soil and subsoil with moderate permeability over a firm, fine sandy loam or sandy loam substratum at 15 to 38 inches which has slow or very slow permeability. Woodbridge soils have a very stony or extremely stony surface, except where stones have been removed, and have stones below the surface. They have a perched, seasonal high water table at 18 to 24 inches. Major limitations are related to wetness, slow permeability in the substratum, stoniness and slope. The USGS Topographic map shows no perennial streams within 200 ft of the property. The site has no Bordering Land Subject to Flooding or 100-year flood plain per the FIRM Maps. The site has no certified and/or potential vernal pools or Estimated and/or Priority Habitat per the Natural Heritage and Endangered Species Program. Enclosed are the maps of the site.
