4. Simulate system alarm by allowing the flare to cycle through the automatic re-ignition cycle without simulating
thermocouple hot,Once the system counts 8 ignition attempts,the system must go into failure,The"SYSTEM
ALARM" Indicator must become visible. In addition, contacts must switch on the system status dry contact
and indicate system alarm. The retention solenoid, continuous solenoid, 440 solenoid, and actuated ball
valves I additional 440 solenoid shall close.
5. Test manual reset by cycling the three position selector switch. The "SYSTEM ALARM" indicator must no
longer be visible. In addition, contacts must switch on the system status dry contact to indicate normal
operating condition, If RSSS"ON"the system must begin re-ignition.
REMOTE START SIMULATION
1. Set three position selector switch in the"AUTO"position.Sell RSSS"OFF". Simulate remote start permissive.
2. Repeat steps 9 through I I of"LOCAL START SIMULATION'
3. ODeP contacts, simulating permissive lost.
4. System must continue to operate until "remote start time delay' times out,factory set 180 seconds, When
time delay times out the continuous pilot solenoid valve, all 440 pressure regulators and both actuated ball
valves must close,The system is now in standby,
FACTORY TEST PROCEDURE
Pilot Gas Valve and Regulator Panel
1. Conduct pneumatic test as follows:
A. Plug the inlet and outlet of the V&R.
B. Install an air gauge.
Y
C. Pressurize as follows:
a. L. Ignition System- 10 psig (70 Kpa)
b. 'S" Ignition system— 10 psig and 50 psig (max pressure).
2. Run test at 5 minute duration to ensure no leaks on all threaded connections or components. t12
3. If leaks are found, correct defect and re-test.
