HISTORY AND BACKGROUND
On February 13, 2020, The Applicant submitted a written request for Site Plan Review Waiver in
accordance with Section 195-8.11.C. The Applicant proposes demolition and reconstruction of a
commercial recycling and commercial waste transfer station after fire caused catastrophic damage in
August of 2019.
FINDINGS OF FACT
• On February 12,2020,the Applicant attended a Technical Review Committee(TRC)meeting
where Lt.Michael Beirne requested the installation of a fire hydant onsite.
• The Property is within the Industrial 2(1-2)Zoning District.
• William McCarthy,Fire Department Chief,met with the Applicant on February 25,2020, and
identified a location for a new onsite fire hydrant.
• The Applicant agreed to install a new fire hydrant onsite at the South West corner of the building
(see email from Jeff Thomspon dated February 25,2020).
• There will be no change in the site circulation, building height,building width,use or building
location.
• No other changes are proposed for the site.
DECISION
After discussion at the February 25, 2020 Planning Board meeting, and upon a motion by J. Simons and 2nd
by P.Boynton to APPROVE a Site Plan Review Waiver,the Vote was 5—0 in favor of the Waiver request.
