Dear Ms. Higgins:
Please be advised on June 6th1 2018 in the Board Meeting Room, 1000 Washington Street in
Boston Massachusetts, the Board of the State Examiners of Plumbers and Gas Fitters deliberated
on and voted unanimously to give the Executive Director delegated authority to grant with
conditions variances arising from the continued use of a 1-1/2" drain during a tub and shower to
shower conversion.
Conditions include:
• A six inch threshold measured from its finished drain to the top of the threshold.
• Shall be equipped with only one shower head with a flow control device that limits
the total flow to a maximum of 2.5 G.P.M.
This variance decision is, based on the presentation, information and documentation provided by
the applicant and is applicable to this end user and this site only. All other plumbing and gas
fitting work if applicable shall comply with the rules and regulations of 248 CMR 3.00 through
10.00 and all other applicable statutes and codes.
