conditions only allowed access tVthe front door from the driveway which often resulted invisitors
having to walk through the front lawn when parked on the street. The proposed walkway will have a
total of 292.02 square feet of surfaceand be constructed using brick pavers, granite pavers, and
monolithic granite steps. The pavers will 6a dry laid in masonry sand.
There was anexisting asphalt walk connecting the driveway and front entrance tn the house. The
asphalt was removed and disposed of to a recycling plant. The proposed walkway area was then
prepared for the addition ufa base material bvexcavating the organic top soil, approximately 8inches
deep. This was achieved using anmini-excavatmr and dump truck to haul spoils away. Processed gravel
was brought in as needed with a small dump truck and spread out in the proposed walkway in
increments of two inches and compacted with a vibratory compactor. This process was repeated till a
suitable sub-grade for brick pavers was achieved. There also|s an existing grade change going from the
house 1u both the street and driveway requiring a step. There |samonolithic granite step installed at
both locations. The brick pavers will be dry laid ima layer of sand about a half inch deep.Joints will bm
f|||md with a polymeric sand.
When the hardscape is finished there will be two areas for planting tree, and shrubs. One smaller area on
the driveway end of walk, approximately 14 square feet and the other located um the right side mfthe
house, approximately 102 square feet. These beds have a slight mound directing rain water away from
the house foundation. The intended plants for these beds are Canc|s CanadansVsRedbwd, Hydrangea,
ChanNGecypad5nVotkatengisWeeping Alaskan Cedar,and Piceapun0ensA|obosa.Also, any turf areas
that are damaged by the construction activities will be either seeded or sodded depending on the time
