* Talk of quorum needed. How many people on the committee that come to meetings, how that
effects our voting. Would be helpful to have a consistent group to vote on things.
* Town-wide Cleanup discussion. 10/18/20-10am-2pm DPW helping to collect trash. Pranali spreading
the word to the high school. Discussion of supplies. Posting on Facebook and elsewhere. Compost bin
sales available? Doodle for timeslots for volunteers from committee. Joanna to spread the word to the
middle school. Devon brought up making a google form with people who sign up.
* Discussion of current environmental issues that have risen during last 6 months of pandemic. Take
out containers/single use—issues being used more than ever. Trash barrels around town overflowing.
Talk of signage on trash barrels in town reminding people to throw away their PPE.
* Green Schools update—on hold for now. Pandemic proving too many safety issues. Faculty and staff
have been notified. Joanna received an extension until June of 2022 from the MADEP for the grant
rollout.
* Plastic bag ban—on hold for now as well per Adrienne.
* Discussed how a resident on Main Street allegedly had to jump through hoops with the Town to get
solar. Possibility of looking into solar installation overall in Town, becoming better versed as a
Committee in this.
* Kim discussed using google forms for compost bin ordering. Usage and utilization. Admin?
* Alexandria noted how Merrimack has green containers for lunch, how it would be a nice initiative for
the future to get rid of single use.
Meeting adjourned with NACAM.
