It is unclear if there will be some form of a parking stop installed for the cars parking on the southem side of the bioretention area#9. Without some form of a stop there is nothing to stop the cars from driving into the bioretention area from this direction. Similar on the northern side of this bioretention area there is a 4 foot retaining wall proposed. Without a parking stop the cars could hit/drive into the wall. The plans have been revised to depict the use of 6' wide concrete wheel stops along the southerly edge of BI0#9. The northerly side of the BIG #9 area already includes a proposed wooden guiderail. #2. Given the use of bioretention areas and the fact that the stormwater is coming from a parking lot, the Town's stormwater consultant should verify the design of the bioretention areas and confirming there is adequate pre- treatment. In addition, bioretention areas require careful landscaping and long term maintenance. The type and layout of plantings along with a copy of the long term operation and maintenance plan should be submitted for review by the Town's stormwater consultant. Our office has submitted response to Lisa Eggleston's stormwater comments and are awaiting her reply/approval. An operation and maintenance plan Was Submitted as part of our resubmission on 09/22/16 and the type and number of plants within the BIG areas were referenced on the original plans.
