Bonenfant, We have reviewed the site plan and attached drawings of the proposed solar installation at 1600 Osgood St. We have identified the following as concerns; • Wheel stops should be added at every parking space abutting the fence for the installation. • There should be a minimum of a 10ft distance maintained between the fencing and the solar panels at all locations. This allows for fire personnel access around all the panels. • The vegetation growth should be maintained within 10ft of the fence. The 10ft distance between the panels and the fence is needed for access to maintain the vegetation growth. • Gates should be moved so there is clear operation without the risk of hitting the panels. The fire department access road currently traverses through the south-most ground array. If fire department access is required in this location, the fence should be moved to the other side of the road and the panels set back 10ft accordingly. • A Fire department apparatus turn-around shall be installed where travel distances exceed 150ft. This is a potential issue at the fire department access roads adjacent to the south-most ground array. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
