Acuity of Our Patients
We have a unique model of urgent care,which allows us to see the large majority of patients that
present in emergency departments.Typical urgent care centers can treat approximately 20-30%of
patients that present in emergency departments,whereas ConvenientMD can treat over 70%of patients
that present in emergency departments.
Our Patients are Under Distress
Because we see patients with a broader scope of medical issues,some of those patients are under a
higher degree of distress.When patients are under duress our experience is that they are much more
likely not to see our sign and drive past us. Our experience is that when the size of the signage is
increased this happens much less often.
Patients are Directed to Us Not Familiar with Area
Given our unique scope of care and out low price point, insurance companies and large employers direct
patients to out facilities for urgent medical needs. They do this through use of call/triage centers,
educational materials,and plan design. As a result, patients travel much farther to see us than most
other area businesses. In North Andover we expect more than 50%of our patients to travel over 20
minutes to seek our services. Many of these patients will be under distress and will not be familiar with
the area.
In addition to traveling from a greater distance, unlike a supermarket,coffee shop, or fast-food
restaurant,which customers may visit regularly,our utilize our services much less often, which reduces
their familiarity with the facility.
Legibility of Letters
Unfortunately,our sign contains 22 letters, "ConvenientMD Urgent care". Both "ConvenientMD"and
"Urgent Care" are important for a patient to read when [coking for our facility.We do not have a
household brand like "Subway". Our patients actually need to able to read the letters when under
distress.
