re: Merrimack College - Gildea HaIll Expansion and Renovation
Andover and North Andover, Massachusetts
a.k.a.. Sakowich CamPUS Center
Dear Members:
In 19,99 the Planning Board approved the renovati'on and addition to Gild ea
Hall and its" associ'ated cite work, As part of that approval, the College was
required to obtain a bond for that work, Since tlh e! work has been compteted for
almost a decade the college would! seek to, release the bond and recover the
funds. attributed to that permit condition.
Accordingly, II an enclosing an "As-Buifl` drawing for the site of the Sakowich
CaMIPIUS (-,enter. Additiona.11y, this, project was completed in substantial
conformance with the p[ans as sub milted to and approved by the Planning
Board for this work. The project was also know as, the renovations to, Gilldea
Hall) as, that was, the building narne at the I.Jme of the application to your board,
and has since been renamed., It is my understanding that in order to release
the bond and the accrued interest, this plan requires acceptance by the board,
On behalf of our client, Merrimack College, I request thal the Planning Board
review this matter at an upcoming meeting to initiate the release the bond,
