refegmk�ed project. Oki xiMew speuifically addressed the Zoning Bylaw requirements for a Site �
Plan Special Permit Application, in add itiou, we visited the site on Jnly IQ, 19.97 W <)ko-ve
existing condidon5 and discuss the project with the designer and facility MHL"S . This
correspondciace is a result of the above review and includes our comments Dn the submillal
package. The following documents were reviewed;

The writer has reviewed the Grading & Drainage Plan, Dwg . 2-1,
prepared by Sasaki Associates, lnc . , dated Jijly 17 , 1997) to make
a final assessment of the need for underdrainage below the pro-
posed foundations of the Ekl #t and West Buildings , for the sub, eot
pro, eQ't . Based upon the final grading plans, and a review of
groundwater levels ent�otintered duving the subsurface oXploration,
it is re o eT�ded that an exterior footing drain as detailed on
Figure I be placed sroix rrd ea,eh building footprint, designed to
drain by gravity into the olosed drainage system. A sub-slab
underdrain i system 14; not 0onsidered necessary.
