Senior transport vehicles: Remo Zimbaldi
can borrow some of the vehicles from the Youth Center as he sees them just sitting there. The
seniors want to go to lunches, etc, and right now the only working van seats 10 and the demand
for these gatherings well exceeds that.

summer. So, this could only potentially work for a dinner outing. The schools also have them but
van with the AC issue is the one set to be replaced
rolling it to the new model year. Kathy has entered the center on a number of lists for other ways
to get a van.
Advocacy Committee Report, Lucius Michel:
Today they have a meeting with the RMV (a 30-min call). Likely an introductory meeting with a
short agenda and 8 guests.
Night Out Planning, Lucius Michel:
The senior center will be represented. Kathy Shelp has brochures available and materials with
the new brand. We will also be showcasing the new senior center floor plans. We will have
people sign up in July to help with the table.
Nominating Committee Report, Quentara Costa:
We have three members leaving the Board. They are Tallie, Heather and Larry, we also have 1 associate
position open.
The committee has agreed to nominate Dave VanArsdale as chair, Lucius Michel as vice-chair and
Quentara Costa as secretary.
Jennifer made a motion to put this to vote, seconded by Maria. A vote was taken with the motion being
agreed on unanimously.
With Luke moving up to a voting seat (and us intending to nominate him for Vice Chair), that leaves us
with 2 board and 2 associate positions open. The committee is doing what they can to get the word out on
the open seats.
Update on Senior Center, Kathy Shelp
see the building soon.
Furniture selections are in the early stages.
There may be a second conference in September which would coincide with a grand opening.
Upcoming Conference on Aging has strong attendance given the time of year. 80 people will be going to
the dinner and most sessions have a good 25+ people.
Adjournment at 10:00 A.M., by a motion by Harry Kaloustian, seconded by Dave VanArsdale,
unanimously agreed.
Respectfully submitted,
Quentara Costa, Interim-Secretary
