In addition to the single two-story Structure, the site presently houses the Salon H.i1I emler a 142 bed 85,200 square foot nurs i ng retireirnent center. The construction of the center was approved by an order of the Planning Board in 1989 upon application of the pi-iox owner ADS Management, Inc. As indicated. the Planning Board in)JIUSe'd several restrictions oil the approval. Speci fi cal ly, the order steles: "tile existing house will be utilized as administrative offices fait the facility as ilidicated oil the site plain before us. The building is a stnicture of historic interest and shall not be razed." The Pelitioner seeks a mo dificalion of that Order to allow it to `raze' the existing house. Tht Petitioner took ownership of[lit! property Fit 1992. Unfortunately the prior applicant and owner simply allowed the house to sit and rot for many years. it is 11♦ w a complete skate ofdisyepair grid constitntes a safety hazard.
